I love Fall and I can feel it coming. Fall always brings change with it and even though that can feel uncomfortable, change is how we grow and move forward. If you want to grow, you have to learn how to lean into the discomfort of change.
Fall is one of my favorite seasons. Not just because school starts and we get back into a regular schedule, but because my anniversary and birthday are in Fall. September marks a new year for me and for my relationship. It’s a season of beginnings and of checking in with myself to think about what I have planned for the next year. It’s a season where I think about change.
I know that change can be uncomfortable. Change means uncertainty. It means extra work, troubleshooting, and growing pains. It also means discovering and setting new boundaries which can also feel uncomfortable. But if you aren’t willing to lean into that discomfort, if you aren’t willing to change, you’ll never receive all the amazing benefits that come with it!
Change is inevitable. But when you choose to lean into change and step outside of your comfort zone, you benefit mentally, emotionally and physically:
Growth. Yes, you grow because you learn new skills and new habits. But you also discover new insights about different aspects of your life. You learn lessons even from changes that did not lead you to where you wanted to be.
Resilience and adaptability. When you find yourself in a new situation or environment, you learn how to adapt. You also learn how to motivate yourself to keep going. That resiliency will stick with you in the future when you encounter unexpected change.
Confidence. Knowing that you can adapt, learn new skills, and do things differently will give you confidence in your abilities.
Perspective. When you turn from your usual path, your perspective changes. You’re able to see different opportunities that you didn’t notice before. Change brings new choices for happiness and fulfillment.
The Snowball Effect. Change begets change. It’s tempting to give up on a huge goal that seems unattainable. But a small change isn’t just achievable, it’s motivating. One change often leads to a next step and so on. Small changes will eventually lead you to the desired big one, one shift at a time.
Change will make you stronger, more confident, and more resilient. It will shift your perspective so you can see new opportunities and want to step outside of your comfort zone even more.
In the spirit of the changing season, I’m making some changes. The biggest one that I want to share with you is that I’m bringing my signature program, “Self-care for Female Leaders,” to an end!
It’s bittersweet. This has been the best program I’ve ever had with a 100% success rate. But creating this program has also allowed me to see opportunities to do even more in some exciting new directions. I’ll be sharing those new opportunities with you soon, but I’ll be closing my existing program on August 31st. If you’ve been wanting to jump into the program, you have two weeks left to do it! All of my clients who have gone through the “Self-care for Female Leaders” program have seen huge changes in their lives. Not just to their physical bodies, but to their careers, their families, and their relationships.
Change is good! It’s a catalyst for the life you want. If you’re ready to start working for that, jump in today and
schedule a call with me!
