How many times have you made the statement I really need to just____, fill in the blank. Lose weight, de-clutter my house, and eat healthy are the most common, but you can pretty much insert any goal into that statement. Goals are fantastic things to set, the only problem is trying to get there. Sometimes it's harder than we realize. So my question to you is not, can you, but will you? You're absolutely capable. Will you do what it takes to achieve that goal?
Success requires effort, there's no doubt about that. Certain people are born with talent but as my son's favorite athlete says,
"Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard"- Tim Tebow.
There's nothing more frustrating than watching someone who is born with more talent than you, waste it, when you're working hard to achieve a similar goal without having been born with that natural talent. The good news is you can teach yourself how to work hard, you can teach yourself how to do better, you can learn new skills.
So what is it you are trying to accomplish? What do you wish that you could achieve? Now, what are you willing to DO to achieve it? It might require getting up earlier in the morning or staying up late at night. It might require sacrificing some of your free time. It might require saying no to any number of things. Are you willing to do those things? The only person stopping you from achieving that success is you.
So you're thinking to yourself, "it's really not that simple". Actually, it is. If you really break it down and you're honest with yourself, there are probably only a couple of things that you need to change in order to achieve success. Sit down and figure those few things out. Then make a list of tasks that need to be accomplished in order for everything to work as planned. Chunk it down, piece by piece, until you have a very specific list of things to do and actions to take. Schedule those on your calendar and get moving!
I have confidence and all the faith in the world that you will do anything that you put your mind to. Just make sure you actually put your mind to doing it! I can't wait to hear all about it!
