Time. Whether it’s hours in a day, or years taking their toll on our bodies, we’re constantly thinking about time. And we never truly feel like we have enough.


The imp
ortant thing to remember is that, yes, time is finite and it marches on. But there are strategies that will give you more time in your day and more quality years in your life!


Age is just a number

Time and age are factors in how your body feels, but they’re not exclusive factors. There’s a lot of messaging out there telling you that getting older means “slowing down.” But you can mitigate that by dedicating time to:


Sleep.
Because your immune system and your hormones don’t work as well when you’re sleep deprived.

Fueling your body. If you’ve spent decades of your life restricting calories, your diet might be affecting your metabolism more than your age. What you eat (and when you eat it) can powerfully affect your metabolism.

Supplementing your body appropriately. There’s no magic pill for health, but as your body changes what it naturally produces, you can supplement that and help your body out.

Adjusting your workouts. As your lifestyle and body composition changes, you can find workouts that focus on what you need physically, socially, and logistically.


Addressing all of these factors takes time. But it’s time well spent. Earlier this week I hosted some coaching calls about finding time. Because I know how hard it is to fit yourself into your schedule, and I wanted to talk through some strategies to create and manage your time better! Because sometimes that’s where a healthy lifestyle starts… with your schedule. When you use your time wisely, you can enjoy a healthier, longer life.
