Pictures will be taken and they’ll be archived as that year we had to wear masks.
Some family won’t be able to attend.
The conversations will be about vaccines and immunity.
How will you show up?
This is an incredible opportunity to finally make the changes you’ve been thinking of making. If you start now, today, you will show up to those holiday celebrations leaner, happier, full of energy, and your family will be asking you why you look so good.
How will it feel to look back at the holiday photos from 2020 and remember that this was the year that everything changed?
All the experts came out and told us what we already knew but maybe weren’t prioritizing. They said exercise, eating lots of plants, drinking water, and getting outside were keys to helping us fight COVID. We know that those things don’t just fight that virus, they fight ALL THE BUGS!
We were forced to take a hard look at our daily schedules and routines and see what was serving us and what wasn’t.
I mentioned in my blog “It’s ok to be stubborn and selfish right now”, that this was a great opportunity to clear the calendar and re-write it with yourself as #1. It’s a great opportunity to also consider how you show up for others.
When we were no longer obligated to go 100 mph through our day-to-day routines, we noticed how thinly stretched or time was. We noticed the madness that was our lives. Driving for hours every day taking kids to activities, racing from appointment to appointment, living out of drive-thrus, and running on caffeine and adrenaline.
Now that we’re easing back into “normal” life, we can’t forget the feeling of relief we had when that all stopped.
I want to challenge you to decide how you’ll show up to this year’s celebrations.
Now is the time to decide.
