I worked in restaurants for years and we always operated on the FIFO rule, (first in, first out). That ensured that we used everything before it spoiled, and that food got rotated properly. Unfortunately, your body doesn’t work like that. It works on the, “what’s the easiest to reach” philosophy.
When it comes to burning calories and energy usage, your body grabs the first thing available. Sometimes it’s the pasta you just ate, other times it’s your muscle.
Eating well and exercising is not about undoing damage, it’s about doing something to BENEFIT your body.
If you learn to use food as fuel and understand how your body burns it, you’ll be able to prevent excess fat storage and eliminate the need for repentance exercise.
One of the biggest hurdles we face is our thoughts surrounding food. We unknowingly attach labels to food such as “good” or “bad”, “naughty” or “guilty”. In doing so, we turn eating into an emotion instead of an action.
In my blog about Emotional Eating, I addressed the issue of emotional eating at length, but to summarize: when we attach labels whether they be positive or negative, to food, it influences our eating behavior. Removing the labels and emotions, allows us to create a healthy relationship with food and to manage our consumption easily.
You have 2 choices:
If you choose option 1, you’ll find that you can perform your activities more successfully, lift heavier, run faster, etc.. You’ll look and feel healthy and energetic.
If you choose option 2, you open yourself to the possibilities of battling emotional eating and unwanted weight gain/loss. You’ll be sucked into the loop of sin-repent-repeat.
It’s time for you to master success and your health by taking control of your mind and your body. Doors just opened to my Mindset, Macros, and Movement Membership!
