Our company has a set of core values that ensure that the programs we create provide authenticity and truly help people create a healthier life. I am passionate about helping people to understand their bodies and how to fuel them. If losing weight is what will get them to their healthiest place, then I'm absolutely for it. Achieving a healthy, sustainable lifestyle is what is most important.
Creating lifelong habits that lead to that sustainable lifestyle was the focus of these challenges. Through our Healthy Habit Challenges, our members experienced huge growth as individuals. They experienced some positive personality changes with weight loss, which has allowed them to maintain their progress.
In creating my challenge, I wanted to help the members understand that the number on the scale (while fun to see drop), is a small part of the story. After the contest wrapped up, they shared what that gained from their experience, as well as how much weight they lost. As I read through their responses it brought tears to my eyes. They lost weight, but they gained so much more than I could have imagined!
Members of the challenges learned that they could set a goal and see it through which lead to huge gains in self-confidence. They impressed themselves with their ability to stick to their plan and overcome challenges. They gained respect for themselves, self-love, and confidence. Some said that they were motivated to try harder things now that they had shown themselves what they were capable of doing.
Our members also discovered a deeper understanding of their body, as well as how to move it to feel and look phenomenal.
We focused these challenges on women, recognizing that they share a common challenge of juggling motherhood, career, and family life. These women connected, supported one another, and made new friends, who have continued to uplift them well after the challenge ended. Women often try to do everything independently, never asking for help or showing that they’re frustrated. This community offered them a space to ask for help and share their frustrations.
These women leaned on each other for advice and for the occasional kick in the pants needed to get back up and keep fighting. We all experience different seasons at different times and being able to lean on one another's experience is invaluable.
My heart grew 10 sizes watching as they learned, conquered, and celebrated together. The weight loss seemed to be an afterthought.
After running several challenges, I realized that we needed to offer more.
We created 3 different membership groups to serve both men and women in the areas we saw to be most important for sustainable healthy living.
The three groups:
