I cannot wait to tell you about my amazing client.
She just graduated from Self Care for Female Leaders. The success she has found within the program has been incredible, and I probably won't even do her transformation justice. When she started the program with me 12 weeks ago, she was a hot mess. (I say that with all the love and with her permission 😉.)
Recently, I've had a lot of people graduating; she's not the only one. It's bittersweet for me as a coach, and I really have mixed feelings about it. I have so much pride for the success my clients have had. I feel an overwhelming amount of happiness and love in my heart for how they now love themselves and feel about themselves. At the same time, I'm also sad, because as I work with clients, we get to be so close, we spend so much time sharing what's in our hearts and the most vulnerable parts of our lives. Although I feel like my babies leave the nest when they graduate the program, I know I will always continue to cheer them on from the sidelines now as they take the reins and take it off on their own.
My client is an amazing woman, but she found herself just "stuck in the yuck." She felt like she was drowning in negativity, and she knew it. When we started working together, she had explained feeling like she was fighting to get out and just not getting anywhere.
She was absolutely miserable in her job, desperate to get a new one, but unsure which direction to take
Like many of my clients, she was struggling with depression and anxiety. While I’m not a psychiatrist or a psychologist, I can help with those things because your diet and your lifestyle very much influence your mental health.
She was having a really hard time planning and preparing meals. Figuring out what to eat, when to eat, how to prepare it, and how to have the time to prepare was a huge struggle for her.
Lastly, she felt disgusted with herself. This was not just around how she looked, but she was also disgusted that she allowed herself to get to the position she was in. When I hear that from someone, it absolutely breaks my heart.
Any of this resonate with you?
If you found yourself agreeing with any or all of these struggles, you are like so many of the clients I work with. The good news is that
Self Care for Female Leaders works.
As my clients and I work together throughout the program, we find meal solutions that are easy. This means easy to prepare, easy to eat, easy to make, and even better is that my clients actually enjoy them! After all, the most important thing about meal planning is ensuring it’s good food you want to eat, right?
We evaluate your priorities, which can led to some different decision making. In the example of my client in this story, one of the biggest steps for her was eliminating the job that was causing her so much distress. I’m a health and fitness coach, not a career coach, but a lot of my clients find the career or situation they're in is not where they want to be. As we start to work on their mental and physical health, they gain confidence and more willing to embrace change. They are able to find a better situation.
My client also discovered a love of journaling and meditation. This became a huge part of her gaining the confidence to find the new job, and to her staying the course when adversity came up. She uncovered some significant barriers along the way. The beauty was that she was able to break the pattern of her past; she no longer found herself stopping and restarting at the beginning. She was able to continue moving forward without losing the progress she’s made.
So who do you have the potential to become?
✔ Someone like my client who is now walking away from this program feeling amazing? (her words, not mine).
✔ Someone who feels confident in herself?
✔ Someone with a new job?
✔ Someone who has the tools to help her overcome the days when depression and anxiety start to creep back in and try to take over?
✔ Someone who understands how to fuel her body and has the resources to do it?
Don't let life be your reason for not starting. You need to
stop making excuses and put yourself first. We're always in a weird season, whether it's school starting, holidays, vacations, and so on. Life always has something waiting for us. What I know for sure is I can guarantee you in a few months, you're going to regret it. Twelve weeks from now puts you at the beginning of December. What comes right after that? New Year's resolutions. If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know New Year's resolutions don't work. So instead, make the choice to do it now. Then you won't need a New Year's resolution because you'll have graduated from this program and be feeling freaking amazing by the time New Year's comes around.
While I said it’s bittersweet to have my clients graduate and leave the nest, it means they have transformed and grown and become a better version of themselves. You can read more of my client success stories
here. I'm sad to stop our client-coach relationship, but I also get excited because that means there's room for more. I get to help
more female leaders incorporate
sustainable selfcare into their lives.
You don’t have to go through this journey alone. You don’t have to suffer through feeling less than you have the potential to be. When we're in that situation, we feel alone, we feel like we're by ourselves, we feel like there's no hope and there's no one out there to help us. I want you to know I’m here, and I want to help you.
