Pour yourself a fresh glass of water, and get comfy for a minute. Then, join me because I have the best story to tell you! One of my recent clients just completed her 12 week Self Care for Female Leaders Program. She had such an incredible transformation, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone. So today’s blog is going to be about the before, after, and the celebration of success in self-care.
When I first meet my clients, we complete an intake. So there are a lot of questions and a review of goals and commitment. It was during this process my client had shared with me her biggest goal was she wanted to feel more in control of her life. When we met, she felt like her life was running her, and she was allowing stress and emotions to get the best of her. As a result, she was dealing with a lot of emotional eating.
Does that sound familiar? That's a pretty common thing.
My client explained she wasn’t making progress on her own, and she was making a lot of excuses to herself about why she couldn't do better, feel better, live better. She explained she didn’t have time because she was in school and busy with schoolwork. When we met she was also working two jobs - one working for someone and she was starting her own business. She was at a point where she realized these excuses weren't serving her, and she was ready to make some changes.
Needless to say, the stress, the overwhelm, and the lack of self-care was leaving her feeling drained. At the end of every day she said she was in physical pain, and her body hurt. The part that sticks out to me most from our whole intake interview, was when she shared how when she looked in the mirror, she felt shame. She felt disgust. She felt hate. I felt my heart break for her right at that moment.
I never want anyone to look in the mirror and hate what they see. That should not even be a thing. If that's something a place where you are you please reach out, if you feel comfortable. We can work on that mindset and get you to a better place together.
The outcome she wanted from me and from this program was to learn how to manage her stress and prioritize herself. In other words, she wanted to be able to control her emotions, and, as a result, control her emotional eating.
Today I’m here to share that my client has accomplished this goal!! Is she perfect? Absolutely not. It's still a work in progress. Some of the lifestyle changes she has accomplished include:
My client shared an experience of how she was recently triggered. She had the opportunity to dive into a box of Oreos to fix it. In the end, she chose not to. I'm so incredibly proud of her. And that she did it happily and easily makes her success even sweeter!
One of my favorite parts of this whole success story: she told me she even catches herself checking out her own butt in the mirror and admiring how nice it is. I love that! She went from looking in the mirror and seeing hate, to looking in the mirror and feeling like she is a million bucks!
So how has she been able to achieve all these results in just three months?
She feels good.
She looks good.
People want to be around her.
People want to give her their money.
When you look good, you feel good.
How amazing is that in just 12 short weeks to be able to create a ripple effect like that?
Because she's had such an amazing transformation, she has committed to another 12 weeks of taking care of herself through Self Care for Female Leaders and improving upon the foundation she has built. You deserve to change your life and be the best version of you. It's just getting the habits in place now is when the real transformation happens.
If you are feeling inspired in this celebration with me, and if you feel motivated to accomplish the same success, I invite you to contact me because I can help you feel this way. I want you to feel this way, and I want to share YOUR story with my readers and listeners. I want you to look in the mirror and love what you see (including and especially your butt!)
